GRADES 3-5
In grades 3 through 5, students move from Learning to Read, to Reading to Learn.
As a school we put a large emphasis on developing students’ language and reading skills through the Accelerated Reader Program, literature studies, Wordly Wise, games, and integrating literacy in all content areas. We love to read!
Teachers use best practices with Brain-Based Learning strategies to help all students succeed. Classes start with movement and music, students have Brain Breaks every 20-30 minutes, and teachers provide a safe, supportive, visually rich environment with high expectations and engaging lessons.
We use the Core Knowledge Sequence curriculum so that each year’s learnings in each content area build on the previous year’s. And all students experience the benefits of Spanish, music, art and fitness classes all year long.
