GRADES 6-8
6th through 8th grade is a time of change for students. They are changing physically and emotionally. What we do at ACCLAIM is to provide stability for them, create a culture where they are encouraged to strive to develop the gems of Virtues that will help them succeed, and challenge them academically.
Teachers are specialists in their fields who recognize the importance of integrating all content areas. Just as life is a web in which all things are related and connected, so should be learning. Understanding these connections helps students see how what they are studying is useful beyond school.
The objectives in the Core Knowledge Sequence and the Arizona State Standards guide the topics covered, and students continue to benefit from Spanish, music, art and fitness classes throughout the year.
