Charter Schools are independently operated public schools. Charter Schools must meet the same academic requirements as district schools, but are the Arizona Board for Charter Schools.
Since its inception, the central emphasis of ACCLAIM Academy has been its focus on developing nobility of character. Through using the Virtues Project, we have created a safe, nurturing culture that strives for academic excellence.
ACCLAIM is an acronym for the seven areas of emphasis of our school:
A = Arts and Sciences
C = Character Development
C = Culture and Diversity
L = Languages: English and Spanish
A = All areas of giftedness are honored and developed.
I = Importance of the Home/School Partnership
M = Model for the Environment
We have classes for students in grades K – 8.
As a public charter school, ACCLAIM Academy does not charge tuition or have any fees to enroll. Because we do not expect families to buy any supplies or materials, we do ask for a yearly $35 tax credit donation that will cover all of these costs.
The first day of classes this year will be Tuesday, August 1.
Parent Open House will be the Thursday prior: July 27.
